What Is a Standard Audiology Booth

A standard audiology booth provides a controlled acoustic environment for accurate and reliable hearing tests. IAC audiology booths are designed for clinics, ENT physicians in private practice. Each modular solution is pre-engineered to ensure ambient noise levels remain below the limits defined by ISO 8253-2, supporting precise and standard-compliant diagnostic results.

Understanding Sound Field in Audiology Rooms

Standard audiology rooms provide a versatile acoustic environment for configuring test environments for a wide range of audiometric applications and providing the required sound field conditions. Their flexible design allows loudspeakers, patient seating, test equipment, and acoustic treatment to be arranged according to the intended application, including free-field, diffuse-field, and quasi-free-field conditions.

Designed around established acoustic principles and applicable international standards, audiometric rooms support accurate and reproducible hearing assessment. Drawing on extensive experience in acoustic engineering, IAC Acoustics creates test environments designed to support consistent and repeatable audiometric measurements in clinics, hospitals, and research facilities.
